Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our team in providing enriching experiences for residents in our care home environment. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for care, particularly for those with dementia and other cognitive impairments. This role is essential in promoting social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being among residents through engaging activities tailored to their interests and abilities.

To work every 4 days a week, 9am - 5pm Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays. 9.00am - 12.30pm on Sundays.

Responsibilities

Develop, organise, and implement a diverse range of activities that cater to the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.
Collaborate with care staff to assess individual resident preferences and capabilities to ensure activities are suitable.
Facilitate group activities such as arts and crafts, games, music sessions, and outings to enhance community engagement.
Maintain accurate records of participation in activities and gather feedback from residents to continually improve offerings.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to foster a supportive environment that encourages participation.
Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations while promoting a safe environment for all participants.
Provide support for residents during activities, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.

Read and write reports in case notes.

Take part in staff meetings and training activities as directed.
