Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, seeking a dynamic and rewarding career in logistics. The position involves operating various types of vehicles and requires excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vans adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Plan efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at multiple destinations throughout the day.
Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care, including heavy lifting when necessary.
Confirm deliveries with recipients, obtain signatures or proof of delivery, and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery statuses or any unforeseen issues during routes.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and operational standards are met.
Maintain a clean and organised vehicle to promote safety and efficiency during deliveries.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
Valid UK driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical fitness for the role.
Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Organised with the ability to plan routes effectively and manage time efficiently.
Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations is preferred but not essential; training will be provided if necessary. This role offers a fulfilling career path for motivated individuals eager to contribute to our logistics operations through dedicated service and professional conduct.
