Full job description

As a House Keeper at Margaret House, your role will involve maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors by following company standards for hygiene, requiring high attention to detail and good organisation. The role will require you to perform tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and general upkeep of the home including reporting any defects to management. You will ensure high sanitation standards are maintained, adhere to health and safety regulations (COSHH, infection control) and manage supplies, while being sensitive to residents' needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

To clean all parts of the Home as directed and in accordance with laid down cleaning procedures. Always making sure to leave rooms and communal areas presentable and tidy.

To replenish stocks in sluice rooms as needed.

To assist in monitoring stock levels of cleaning materials and toiletries.

To carry out such duties with regard to fire and accident prevention.

To carry out a brief check of possible safety hazards when cleaning residents’ rooms, and to report any possible hazards to the Manager or Housekeeping manager. Also making sure that these hazards have also been reported using the homes reporting system.

To ensure safe operation and maintenance, as needed, of all cleaning equipment. To remove from use and to report to the Manager or Housekeeping Manager any item of equipment found to be faulty or deemed unsafe.

To undertake other duties, as necessary.

To attend training arranged by the Manager or Housekeeping Manager and apply learning to practice.

To check and make sure the basement area is kept tidy and remove any empty boxes

Pay: £12.71 per hour
