Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong organisational abilities, and exceptional communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction. The Courier Driver will play a vital part in maintaining the smooth operation of our delivery services, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Plan efficient routes to optimise delivery times and minimise fuel consumption.
Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
Deliver parcels and goods to various locations within the designated area, maintaining a high level of professionalism and courtesy with clients.
Keep accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and delivery confirmations.
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
Follow health and safety protocols at all times during deliveries.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a clean driving record.
Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with appropriate classifications for commercial driving.
Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical fitness for the role.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations within the area of operation.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently under minimal supervision. This position offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team committed to delivering exceptional service while ensuring safety and efficiency on every route.

Pay: From £110.00 per day
