We are seeking a Child Care solicitor or chartered legal executive with strong advocacy skills and experience of dealing in all aspects of children law, to join our busy and highly regarded Family Department. Children Panel Accreditation is essential.

Our successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who is organised and has a good client manner. You must be experienced in running your own caseload, working independently and remotely when the need arises due to court commitments.
Our Child Care department is based in Margate on Kent’s northeast tip, on the edge of the Old Town and a couple of minutes’ walk from the Turner Contemporary and spectacular beach.
We represent clients at meetings with social services and most days at the family courts throughout Kent and sometimes at the High Court in London.

The position is either full or part time and will be permanent. If you work full time your hours will be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Your salary will be negotiable depending on experience.
Working from home is often effective and we believe in its benefits, so have a permanent and occasional working from home policy. You would be welcome to propose up to 40% home working.
You may be considering re-locating to the East Kent coast or one of the inland towns and villages. If so, we will pay the buying and selling conveyancing fees of a successful candidate and assist with introductions to our extensive network of local estate agents. Thanet and Canterbury has a wide range of excellent schools that we can tell you about if you have school age children. If you would be moving away from the capital to take up post, Margate is on the high-speed train line to London.
