Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Passive Fire Protection Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in safeguarding buildings and occupants through expert installation and maintenance of passive fire protection systems. This vital position involves working on diverse construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering high-quality fire-resistant solutions. Your expertise will help create safer environments by implementing fire-resistant barriers, coatings, and compartmentation techniques that prevent the spread of fire and smoke.

Duties

Install, inspect, and maintain passive fire protection systems such as fire-resistant walls, doors, coatings, and intumescent materials across various construction sites.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and safety teams to interpret schematics and technical drawings related to fire protection layouts.
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to accurately cut, shape, and install fireproofing materials.
Conduct site assessments to identify areas requiring passive fire protection upgrades or repairs.
Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards for fire safety.
Assist in the preparation of construction painting and masonry work related to fireproofing applications.
Maintain detailed documentation of installations, inspections, and maintenance activities for quality assurance.

Skills

Proven experience in construction trades such as roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, plastering, masonry, or carpentry.
Strong knowledge of schematics and technical drawings specific to fire protection systems.
Skilled in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in a construction environment.
Familiarity with fabrication techniques for custom fireproofing components.
Ability to interpret construction plans and technical specifications accurately.
Experience working with construction painting and masonry related to passive fire protection installations.
Knowledge of relevant safety standards and building codes governing passive fire protection systems.
