WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- We are looking for an efficient, tidy person to prepare and pack our meat products.
- Experience in working in a food business for example in hospitality, in catering, in a cafe, on a hot or cold food counter, or as a cook, butcher, food preparation assistant or as a kitchen porter is required.
- A Safe Food Handling Certificate or similar food hygiene qualification is an advantage.
- The hours per week for this job will be up to 8 hours per week.
- There will be 1 - 2 shifts per week on Friday or Saturday.
WHAT THE JOB INVOLVES
- The job holder must be able to neatly pack meat products (e.g. sausages, burgers, mince, chicken) cleanly and hygienically using our packing equipment.
- The job holder must maintain a clean work station, and clear up and wash up all equipment and dishes at the end of their shift.
- The job will also involved cleaning butchery equipment, cleaning cold stores, cleaning butchery areas, packing areas and customer areas.

Job Responsibilities
- Packing and labelling meat products using a vacuum packer and a labelling machine
- The role is physically active and requires manual handling
- The role will include lifting boxes of stock (up to 15kg)
- The role will also include cleaning the packing areas, refrigerated areas, food prep areas, butchery areas and cold stores.

Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (required)
Experience:
