About Us
We are a vibrant new ceramics studio in Belfast City Centre, where people can paint unique pottery pieces, enjoy creative workshops, and embrace their artistic side.
Our team is passionate about pottery, art, and creating exceptional customer experiences. With wheel throwing classes, hand-building workshops, private bookings, and other creative events, we’re looking for passionate and experienced Pottery Teachers to join our growing team.
This is a flexible, part-time role offering approximately 4–25 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours as the studio becomes busier.
Most workshops will take place during evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities
Workshop Hosting: Lead engaging beginner and mixed-level wheel throwing and hand-building pottery classes, creating a relaxed, welcoming environment for all participants.
Customer Support: Offer clear guidance, encouragement, and individual support throughout each workshop to help attendees feel confident and creative.
Studio Vibes: Maintain the energy and flow of the workshop, making sure everyone feels comfortable, has fun, and enjoys learning something new.
Workshop Preparation: Prepare clay, tools, equipment, and other materials before each class.
Studio Care: Help maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming studio before, during, and after workshops.
Kiln and Glaze Knowledge: Assist with basic clay processing, glazing, firing preparation, and studio procedures. Training can be provided for studio-specific techniques if required.
Team Collaboration: Work alongside our friendly team of artists, hosts, and studio staff to ensure workshops and general studio activities run smoothly.
General Studio Support: Assist with other studio tasks between classes when required.
Requirements:
- Strong wheel throwing experience.
- Experience with hand-building pottery techniques.
- Previous teaching, workshop facilitation, or group-hosting experience is preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently in English.
- Friendly, outgoing, and confident when working with groups.
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently.
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for pottery and creativity.
- Comfortable working in a busy, social, and fast-paced studio environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
Portfolio Requirements
Applicants must provide:
- A portfolio of their pottery work.
- Examples or photographs of finished pottery pieces.
- Examples of wheel-thrown and hand-built work where possible.
Bonus Skills
- Experience working in a pottery studio or shared creative space.
- Familiarity with basic kiln operation and firing techniques.
- Experience preparing clay, reclaiming materials, and glazing pottery.
- A flair for making people feel welcome and encouraging creativity.
- Previous experience teaching beginner pottery classes.
Pay
£15.50 per hour while hosting pottery classes.
Additional paid studio shifts may also be available at different hourly rates.
