Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment for young children to explore, learn, and grow. Your enthusiasm and leadership will inspire children’s early development, ensuring they receive high-quality care that promotes their social, emotional, and educational needs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children’s lives while developing your management and childcare skills.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging activities that support early childhood development in line with educational frameworks
Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages children’s curiosity and confidence
Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety at all times
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children’s progress and wellbeing
Lead and support team members in daily routines, ensuring high standards of childcare are maintained
Maintain accurate records of children’s development, attendance, and health information
Uphold health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and hygiene protocols

Qualifications

Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages
Excellent communication skills in English to interact confidently with children, parents, and colleagues
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 2, 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred
Ability to work flexibly within the hours required by the childcare setting
