This exciting opportunity is for a competent business support assistant to work closely alongside our business support officer in our busy community mental health service.

The role will be based in Shrewsbury at Severn Field's Health Village and is 22.5 hours per week - ideally worked over 3 days per week but is negotiable between Monday - Friday 9am and 5pm

Please note that this role is not eligible for sponsorship - if you require sponsorship - your application may not be progressed.

The post-holder will be part of a team, responsible for providing a quality administrative service to the Adult Community Mental Health Services supporting the Business Support Officer in the monitoring of performance against the Trust’s key performance indicators. To meet the needs
of the service, the post holder may be required to work in other administrative areas as appropriate, as directed by the line manager

1. Provide administrative support to the Business Support Officer in the retrieval of information in relation to key performance indicators.
2. To accurately maintain and keep secure patient health and staff records/systems in line with policy and standard operating procedure, to ensure data quality, confidentiality and compliance with the current Data Protection Law.
3. Provide a full range of office support systems including photo-copying and scanning.
4. Collate and input data in a timely manner into both manual and electronic systems.
5. To interpret simple spreadsheets, have a good eye for detail and be able to spot data errors.
6. Prioritise own workload and meet deadlines in order to meet the requirements of the post.
7. To open, sort and distribute post (incoming and outgoing), emails, letters and other messages.
8. To be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programmes including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
9. Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls in a polite and efficient manner, referring telephone queries to a more senior colleague where appropriate. Taking accurate messages and passing them to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
10. To assist the Business Support Officer in the general preparation of meeting paperwork and support minute taking as and when required.
11. Support with regular stock checks and ordering/receipt of office stationery.
12. To be available for regular supervision by the Business Support Officer
