Full job description

Are you a friendly and confident person with great interpersonal skills and an eye for detail?

This is a widely varied role with responsibilities for general administrative duties. We’re looking for someone who can provide efficient administrative support across the business, including HR admin support, diary management and supporting key office activities.

You’ll also look after our ever-growing team, both in the office and on the road, to help out with some day-to-day administrative duties.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small team which may give opportunities for career progression.

Key Attributes

Main Duties and Responsibilities are:

Arranging employee meetings and co-ordinating with managers
Taking notes in meetings and producing clear written follow-up notes and actions
Producing standard letters for employees following actions from meetings
Supporting recruitment by updating recruitment websites with job vacancies and organising interviews
Co-ordination of timesheet submission by relevant department to the agreed monthly timetable
Communication of annual holidays remaining allowance to managers and following up to ensure entitlements are used
Providing cover for credit control duties, sales ledger and purchase ledger
Providing cover for processing sales orders with close attention to detail, checking correct customer pricing is used
Providing cover for raising purchase orders and ensuring these are approved by the appropriate manager
Providing cover for processing, distributing and recording work wear requests
Supporting the external sales team
Making drinks for staff and visitors
Managing executive diaries and coordinating appointments
Arranging hotel bookings and related travel requirements
Dealing with company car administration including regular licence checking, taxing vehicles and organising servicing when required
Ad hoc support to the finance and executive team

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience in an Office environment
Excellent communicative skills
Great organisational acumen
High attention to detail
Professional telephone manner
5 GCSE (A-C) passes or equivalent

Garner Aluminium Extrusions is a privately owned by a local entrepreneur who has a proven track record in starting, developing and growing businesses within the building products sector. The company has invested £9m in a state-of-the-art aluminium extrusion press and processing plant to produce aluminium extrusions. The company is based at Heage, but we eventually plan to relocate to purpose built facilities to accommodate both businesses. We are now looking to recruit an Administration Support Assistant to support our ongoing growth.

This role will be based at our Firs Works site.

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 08:30 till 17:00, with an hour for lunch.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary dependent upon experience.

Pay: From £25,000.00 per year
