Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior <PERSON> (Assistant Manager) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and culinary operations, with a focus on maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a reputable organisation, supporting both operational excellence and team development within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Oversee daily food production activities, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards
Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, including specialised food preparation and butchery tasks
Support the management team in maintaining compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices
Coordinate with suppliers and manage inventory levels to ensure smooth operations
Make sure all stock is put away in correct stock rotation
Make sure all orders are fore filled to high standards and all labels are put on correct
Help the manager to make sure all staff are preparing meat to the correct specifications
Help train current staff to higher standards of butchery

Qualifications

Proven experience in food production, culinary arts, or restaurant environments
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices
Experience in food preparation, butchery
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Previous supervisory or assistant management experience within butchery setting is desirable
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Relevant qualifications in food safety are advantageous
