Learning & Development Trainer - Milton Keynes
Location: Milton Keynes. UK travel required
The Learning & Development Trainer is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating high‑impact blended learning that helps our colleagues build the capability and confidence they need to perform at their best.
You’ll work closely with key stakeholders to turn business needs into clear, practical blended learning solutions that are modern and aligned to L&D priorities.
Design, write and deliver high‑quality training content that is engaging, relevant, timely and tailored to cover different learning styles and supports performance improvements.
Through confident and skilled facilitation, coaching, and mentoring, you’ll help colleagues at all levels develop their capability and put learning into everyday practice.
How you'll make an impact
- Play a key role in the delivery of the learning and development strategy.
- Deliver engaging training across a range of topics — technical, systems, soft skills, and more.
- Use different delivery methods confidently (classroom, virtual, coaching, one‑to‑one, group sessions).
- Coordinate all aspects of training delivery (scheduling, invites, updates, session prep etc.).
- Act as a coach and mentor for colleagues during and after training.
- Create clear, practical learning materials such as facilitator guides, e‑learning storyboards, workbooks, and toolkits.
- Measure the impact of learning and suggest improvements where needed
- Support organisational change initiatives by creating relevant learning materials to help teams adapt and thrive.
What will help you succeed
Qualifications & Experience
- A recognised training qualification such as an ETA or CTP
- Experience delivering training across different platforms.
- Strong relationship‑building skills with stakeholders.
- Confident facilitation, coaching, and feedback skills.
- Understanding of the full training cycle and how to design for different learning styles.
Personal qualities
- An engaging, upbeat, and energetic training and facilitation style.
- Confident delivering to individuals or groups of up to 20 people.
- Able to manage your own time, workload, and required deadlines.
- Flexible, comfortable travelling and staying away from home (up to 4 times a week if required).
- Discreet, trustworthy, and a strong ambassador for L&D and the company.
- A clear, adaptable communicator who works well with a wide range of personalities.
- Approachable, positive, and supportive.
- A natural coach and mentor with an empathetic approach.
