Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to join our Production department. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating day-to-day production activities, supervising a team of welders/operators/programmers, and ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity targets are consistently achieved.

The successful candidate will bring strong supervisory skills, technical know-how, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement within a fast-paced machining environment.

Shift Pattern (Rotating Weekly)

Week 1: Monday–Thursday 05:45–13:45, Friday 05:45–12:45
Week 2: Monday–Thursday 14:00–22:00, Friday 13:00–20:00

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team to deliver departmental objectives and meet KPIs.
Oversee machining workshop or welding workshop, ensuring smooth handovers between shifts.
Monitor quality standards to ensure compliance with company specifications and customer requirements.
Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, efficiency, and safety.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a strong safety culture.
Provide training, guidance, and support to team members, ensuring best practices are consistently applied.
Identify and report production issues, equipment malfunctions, or inefficiencies to senior management.
Conduct daily checks, toolbox talks, and maintain accurate production records.
Ensure scanning systems and IT tools are used correctly for tracking production progress.
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient working environment.
Participate in special projects or assist other departments when required.

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience in a supervisory role within manufacturing or heavy industry.
Strong technical aptitude with hands-on experience in production operations.
Knowledge of quality control processes and ability to troubleshoot production issues.
Experience using manufacturing IT systems and scanning software.
Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Solid organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Thorough understanding of workplace health and safety regulations.
Ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure, and meet production deadlines.
Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in a supervisory capacity.
