The Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team on a part‑time basis. This is a hands‑on role focused primarily on Accounts Payable, with the opportunity to support wider finance tasks as the business continues to grow.

You’ll be working closely with the Finance Manager and supporting day‑to‑day operations across multiple entities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

Processing supplier invoices accurately and on time
Managing supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
Preparing weekly payment runs
Maintaining supplier records

Additional Finance Responsibilities

Setting up accruals and prepayments
Supporting bank reconciliations across multiple entities
Helping with balance sheet reconciliations
Managing staff expenses and credit card expenses
Supporting foreign VAT reporting
Assisting with intercompany transactions (experience is a plus)
Contributing to ongoing finance projects and process improvements

What We’re Looking For

Experience in an Accounts Payable or general finance role
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good understanding of basic accounting principles
Confident with Excel and cloud‑based accounting systems (Xero experience is a bonus)
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
