Full job description

OVERVIEW

PAY: Starting from £28,000p/a with performance-based commission bonuses paid monthly

WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours per week – made up of 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day (flexible dependent on meetings and events)

REQUIRED: Minimum 2 years experience in Sales. (Experience in Event Sales not required but would be advantageous.)

REQUIRED: Reliable transportation and the ability to commute to Willenhall

DESIRED: Minimum 1 year experience with a CRM (training will be provided for our in-house system), Gmail and Word Processing systems

ABOUT THE WILLOWS

Established in 2018 we are an events and conference venue based in Willenhall, West Midlands.

Originally built in 1938 and opened on the 15th of April 1939 as the Willenhall Baths, The Willows was remodelled in 2018 into a newly modernised state-of-the-art wedding and events venue with a seating capacity of up to 500 guests. Our founders’ vision was to build a venue serving only the best food, drinks and event styling – and we believe we’ve achieved this!

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a proactive and energetic Sales Manager to join our busy office. As the Sales Manager, you will report to the Office Manager and the Operations Manager and will be solely responsible for converting inquires into confirmed events.

Day to day roles and responsibilities:

answering phone calls, emails and WhatsApp messages; processing all inquiries within the acceptable timelines as outlined by the company
management of the CRM System and own diary
phone and in-person meetings with prospective clients (virtual meetings are also available); ensuring that all meeting spaces and materials are fully stocked and in excellent condition at all times
raising quotations based on advertised pricing structure
achieve agreed revenue targets
analyse inquiry trends and identify new opportunities for growth

Other roles and responsibilities:

building strong relationships with clients and vendors to expand referral networks and collaborative opportunities
appear in promotional videos and social media campaigns
management of own professional social media account (including inbox management, content creation and post-sharing)

ABOUT YOU

You will have:

exceptional communication skills with a talent for building lasting relationships
proven experience in meeting or exceeding sales targets
excellent analysis skills to interpret sales data
a can-do attitude and a willingness to pitch in where required
