Hours: 30 per week, Monday - Friday 9am-3pm
Purpose of the role:
The Guest Engagement & Volunteer Co-ordinator’s main purpose is to support the planning and own the delivery of Guest Engagement activities for The Immanuel Project and our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Engagement:
● Design, co-ordinate and deliver The Immanuel Projects Guest Engagement Programme; reviewing regularly to make sure it is fit for purpose.
● Build and manage 3rd party relationships with local services such as, housing support& NHS services to support The Immanuel Projects Guest Engagement offer.
● Promote the sessions to help make sure there is a good level of engagement and attendance by guests (eg. producing publicity for guest interactions and external partners).
● Co-ordinate the front of house making sure the environment is welcoming and safe for guests, colleagues, volunteers and visitors
● Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of the programme, including attendance and collating guest feedback for funders and trustees.
● Work with the Operations Manager to plan what people resource is needed to run the sessions
● Coordinate seasonal initiatives for guests
Volunteer Co-Ordination:
● Ensure volunteer profiles are up to date and advertised effectively
● Safely recruit new volunteers
● Ensure new volunteers receive induction and training as appropriate.
● Ensure volunteers are kept up to date with changes and development at the project through newsletters, catch up chats and biannual volunteer meetings
● Ensure volunteer contribution is valued and celebrated
● Offer opportunities for volunteers to offer existing skills and develop new ones
● Facilitate corporate volunteering days
● Build positive relationships with local organisations that promote volunteering
● Ensure all paperwork is up to date
● Collate data around volunteering for Ops Manager and trustees
Other, but important duties:
● Deputise for manager when they are off site or on leave
● Complete general office admin work such as maintaining records, responding to enquiries, ordering supplier, preparing documents for reporting and monitoring and keeping shared systems up to date.
● Keep social media pages up to date
● Assist with funding applications
● Attend occasional meetings with trustees and external partners as necessary
