Hygiene Manager (Nights)
Location: Hyde
Hours: 10pm-6am

We are looking for an experienced Hygiene Manager to lead and develop our site hygiene operation, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

As a key member of the team, you will drive the Food Safety & Hygiene strategy using Operational Excellence (OPEX) principles, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements while delivering measurable improvements in hygiene performance, audit results, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the hygiene team, promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Drive excellence in food safety and hygiene standards across the site.
Use OPEX tools and data analysis to identify root causes, solve problems, and deliver sustainable improvements.
Set, maintain, and improve standards across safety, quality, environmental, and manufacturing processes.
Drive strong internal and external audit performance and implement improvement plans.
Manage hygiene-related projects in line with site objectives and business priorities.
Ensure compliance with SOPs, CICs, COSHH requirements, and risk assessments.
Monitor, measure, and report Hygiene KPIs on a monthly basis.
Coach and support teams to embed best practice hygiene standards and behaviours.

Essential

Hygiene-related Certificate or Diploma.
Food Safety Level 3 and HACCP Level 3 qualifications.
COSHH Training.
Proven experience leading a hygiene operation within a food manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of hygiene management best practices.
Knowledge of hygiene processes and microbiological controls.
Excellent communication and influencing skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Natural coaching and people development ability.
