About Us
Finest Aquatics is one of the UK's leading online retailers of aquarium, pond and water filtration products. Operating from our warehouse in Widnes, we dispatch thousands of orders weekly through our own websites, Amazon and eBay, while continuing to grow our wholesale and retail operations.
We're looking for a motivated, hands-on Warehouse team leader to lead our small warehouse team (Team of 9). This isn't a role where you'll spend your day behind a desk. We're looking for someone who enjoys getting stuck in, leading by example and making sure every customer order leaves accurately and on time.
Job Overview
You'll take responsibility for the day to day running of our warehouse operation while working alongside the team to ensure everything runs smoothly.
No two days are the same. One minute you could be planning workloads and managing stock, the next you'll be picking customer orders, unloading deliveries or helping solve a dispatch issue.
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading and motivating a small warehouse team, ensuring productivity and attention to detail are adhered to.
- Planning daily workloads to meet dispatch deadlines.
- Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders.
- Maintaining excellent stock accuracy and warehouse organisation.
- Managing goods in and replenishment.
- Ensuring high standards of health and safety.
- Identifying opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and processes.
- Working closely with senior management to support the continued growth of the business.
- Maintaining a positive, hardworking culture where everyone contributes.
Experience
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced e-commerce environment and understands that great leaders lead from the front.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous warehouse management or team leader experience.
- Experience within an e-commerce fulfilment environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to motivate and develop a small team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to roll your sleeves up when required.
- Good computer skills and confidence using warehouse or stock management systems.
- A forklift licence would be advantageous, although training can be provided.
What We're Looking For
We're not looking for someone who simply manages people. We are looking for someone who enjoys being part of the team. You'll take pride in maintaining high standards, thrive in a busy environment and genuinely care about delivering an outstanding service to our customers every single day.
If you're someone who leads by example, enjoys solving problems and isn't afraid to jump on the packing bench during busy periods, we'd love to hear from you.
Pay: From £30,950.00 per year
Benefits:
- Company pension
- Employee discount
- Free parking
- On-site parking
Application question(s):
- How many years of experience do you have managing a warehouse team?
- Have you worked in an e-commerce warehouse where orders were picked, packed and dispatched directly to customers?
- Our warehouse is a relatively small team where everyone contributes to getting orders out on time. What appeals to you about working in this type of environment?
- If you was to use an animal to describe your management style which animal would you choose and why?
