Equans are looking for an experienced Electrically Qualified Multiskilled Maintenance & Service Technician to join their on-site team at the University of Birmingham, Pritchatts Park Village Student Accommodation project.

The successful candidate will hold a valid NVQ electrical qualification with 18th Edition training and have experience in a comparable role.

Please note hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00

What will you deliver?

Provide maintenance at a single site student accommodation complex in Birmingham.
Provide initial response to all Reactive Maintenance requests during normal working hours and Out of Hours as part of the On-call Out of Hours Rota.

Quarterly shower head & hose cleaning in accordance with L8 requirements (full training will be provided)

Monthly temperature monitoring of Hot & Cold water systems
Weekly flushing of water outlets in all unoccupied rooms
Weekly fire alarm testing on the student accommodation
Undertake regular visual inspections of building fabric, furniture, fixtures & fittings

Work in accordance with Work Instructions, Safe Working Practices and Method Statements ensuring relevant paperwork is completed in an accurate timely manner.

Who are we looking for?

Demonstrable experience in a similar role essential
Electrical qualification (minimum NVQ level 2)
Working knowledge of ACOP L8 desirable
Computer literate with good organisational and administration acumen
Ability to work to tight deadlines, under own initiative or through instruction
Physically fit as a considerable amount of walking is required around site
Full UK driving license
