One of the most valuable services provided by Foxtons’ Property Management and Lettings Support team is the effective collection of rent. This function plays a key role in protecting our landlords’ income, requiring a proactive, analytical approach to managing arrears, mitigating risk, and resolving complex financial situations.
As an Entry Level Credit Controller, you will play an important role in maintaining the financial performance of our portfolio and supporting the strong relationships we build with our landlord clients. You will be responsible for monitoring incoming payments, managing arrears cases, and ensuring cash flow is protected. This role offers a hands-on introduction to credit control within a fast-paced, client-focused environment, where accuracy, accountability, and commercial awareness are essential.
Through structured training and ongoing development, you will build a solid foundation in credit management, collections strategy, and the legal framework surrounding rent arrears. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with a finance-related background looking to develop practical experience and specialist expertise within a well-established organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively contact tenants at regular, structured intervals via phone, email, and SMS to address overdue rent, identify root causes, and secure payment
- Monitor and manage arrears accounts, ensuring all actions align with company procedures and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and account activity to support potential legal proceedings
- Support court processes where required, providing clear and accurate documentation and evidence
- Liaise with landlords, providing regular updates and clear financial insights on arrears cases
- Explain processes, timelines, and resolution options in a clear and professional manner
What We’re Looking For
A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail
A proactive, problem-solving mindset and ability to manage competing priorities
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
A genuine interest in developing a career within finance, credit control, or financial operations

Location & Working Arrangement
This role is based at our Worcester office (WR4), with excellent transport links and free onsite parking. Following your initial induction, you will benefit from a hybrid working pattern, including one day per week working from home.
