Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organised Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a welcoming environment and smooth administrative operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with office experience and strong communication skills to contribute to a well-functioning workplace. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing front desk activities, handling correspondence, and supporting various administrative tasks using a range of software tools.

Responsibilities

Greet visitors courteously and direct them appropriately
Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
Manage appointment booking
Care Navigating patients to the most appropriate clinician or service
Booking & Cancelling appointments
Actioning E-Consult triage requests
Provide general administrative support
Process prescription requests
Action practice emails
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and postal mail
Maintain accurate records through data entry and filing systems

Experience

Previous experience in a GP Surgery is preferred but not essential
Proficiency in computer skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with good phone etiquette
Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.71 per hour
