Join a team of experts and progressive thinkers
We are looking for a pro-active, highly engaged and adaptable Knowledge & Innovation Paralegal to join our Knowledge & Innovation team. This role will suit someone who wants to work at the intersection of law, knowledge, technology and innovation. It may be particularly suitable for an early-career law or information graduate, or those with previous experience of working in a similar role.
The role
This full-time role can be based in any of our Bristol, Birmingham or Leeds offices with considerable scope for flexible working. There may be occasional requirements to travel to any of our office locations.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide timely, high quality research in response to legal and commercial queries from lawyers and business services teams
- Monitor legal, regulatory, and sector developments, to help produce alerts and current awareness products
- Support the upkeep of knowledge systems, intranet pages, and other internal repositories
- Support legal technology, AI and process improvement projects, including tool testing, workflow documentation and user guidance
- Assist with promoting the work of the team, including new starter inductions and training on research tools and resources
What we are looking for from you
Essential
- Legal, knowledge or research experience gained in a law firm or professional services environment OR a degree in law, information or a related field
- Strong research skills and an interest in legal, commercial or professional services research
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarise information clearly and accurately
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach to organising information.
- Strong IT skills - proficient in the use of Microsoft Office - with the ability to learn new databases, systems and digital tools quickly
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- A proactive, curious and service-oriented approach
- Confidence working with colleagues at different levels of seniority
Desirable
- Familiarity with legal or business research platforms, news aggregators and AI prompting
- Experience maintaining HighQ sites or knowledge repositories
- Interest in AI tools, legal technology, document automation or process improvement
- Experience creating user guides, training materials, newsletters or current awareness updates

We operate a hybrid working model based on the needs of our clients, teams and people. Our core business hours are 9am - 5:15pm Monday to Friday, but we're open to our people working more flexibly around those times and welcome a conversation with you if you have any questions about this.
