Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist specialising in braiding, wig styling, perms, and colour treatments. The ideal candidate will possess a flair for creating stunning hairstyles while delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic salon environment, providing personalised hair solutions that enhance clients' confidence and style. Applicants should be enthusiastic, professional, and eager to develop their skills within a supportive team.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of hair styling services including braiding, wig styling, perms, colouring, and specialised treatments
Consult with clients to understand their desired look and recommend suitable styles or treatments
Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation in all tools and work areas
Manage appointment scheduling efficiently to ensure smooth salon operations
Provide excellent customer service by building rapport and ensuring client satisfaction
Upsell additional services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, or hair products to enhance client experience
Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients and managing bookings when required
Mentor junior staff or apprentices to foster skill development within the team
Keep up-to-date with the latest hair trends and techniques through ongoing training

Skills

Proven experience in hair styling, braiding, wig styling, perms, colour treatments, and related services
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members
Customer service-oriented with a friendly and professional demeanour
Ability to manage store operations efficiently including front desk responsibilities and appointment scheduling
Knowledge of barbering techniques is advantageous
Experience in store management or team mentoring is desirable
Skills in eyelash extensions and makeup application are a plus
Demonstrated ability to upsell products or additional services to clients
Organised with excellent attention to detail to ensure quality results and client satisfaction

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.21-£17.62 per hour
