Full job description

Smiles Childcare Ltd are hiring a new team member to join our experienced team.
Join our vibrant team as a Before and After School Club Practitioner, where you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children during before and after school hours.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to support children's development, foster positive behavior, and contribute to their overall well-being through age appropriate activities.

Your enthusiasm and dedication will help shape memorable experiences that promote growth, learning, and fun.

Duties

Supervise children during before and after school sessions, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Implement engaging activities that support social, emotional, and physical development.
Manage behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies
Liaise with school staff and parents to communicate children's progress and address any concerns promptly
Maintain a clean, organized environment that meets health and safety standards, including adhering to first aid protocols when necessary
Support children with special educational needs by adapting activities and providing tailored assistance
Lead or assist with recreational activities.

Qualifications

Experience working with children from 4 years to 11 years old.
Certification in first aid and child safeguarding is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already held
Level 2 or 3 in Childcare.
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues
Ability to work flexibly during before and after school hours in a lively environment
Passion for supporting children's growth through nurturing guidance, creative activities, and positive role modeling

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.21-£12.80 per hour
