Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LAMDA Teacher to support our educational team in providing a nurturing and effective learning environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of working with young children, particularly within LAMDAs Communication / Performing Arts examinations. We predominantly focus on introductory and speaking verse and prose exams with the hopes to start acting exams.

This role would suit an experienced LAMDA / Communication tutor looking for regular work in the area to supplement another teaching role. Currently, we run sessions Monday - Thursday 3.30pm - 5pm. LAMDA is run as an after-school opportunity in year groups.

School years 1-6 (groups of 3-10), 3 x 30 minute groups per day, 4 days per week. This is subject to change with Septembers club interest. All classes are from 3.30pm.

Duties

Delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to the needs of students in groups of up to 10.
Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their participation and helping them express their thoughts and feelings.
Observe and report on student progress, behaviour, and any concerns to the project lead.

Experience

Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is required.
Strong communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with both children and staff members.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to varying situations within the classroom setting.
Experience teaching or examining with LAMDA is essential.
