Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Till Assistant to join our dynamic retail team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly face at the checkout counter, ensuring smooth and efficient transactions while providing exceptional customer service. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help create a positive shopping experience for all customers. Duties

Operate cash registers accurately, handling cash, credit/debit card payments, and mobile transactions with precision.
Assist customers with their purchases by providing product information and recommendations through upselling techniques.
Maintain an organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandise is properly displayed and stocked for quick access.
Communicate effectively with customers using excellent phone etiquette and active listening skills to address inquiries or concerns.
Manage time efficiently during busy periods to minimize wait times and enhance customer satisfaction.
Support merchandising efforts by restocking shelves and organizing displays to promote sales.
Uphold store policies on safety, security, and loss prevention while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers.
Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and giving correct change.
Excellent organizational skills to manage checkout procedures smoothly.
Demonstrated time management abilities to prioritize tasks during peak hours.
Knowledge of merchandising principles to support store presentation efforts.
Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
