About This Role

We are seeking caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to support a wonderful 14-year-old boy in his family home, providing personalised care as part of a supportive team. He is a lively and active young person with a fantastic personality. He enjoys playing with Nerf guns, popping balloons, singing along to his favourite nursery rhymes and even putting on his socks and shoes! As he is non-verbal, we are looking for attentive carers who can recognise his individual cues, understand his needs and provide consistent, compassionate support. During night shifts, you’ll provide attentive, person-centred care, supporting him with his personal care and clinical needs while remaining vigilant to his wellbeing. You’ll help ensure he is safe, comfortable and settled throughout the night, responding appropriately to his needs and providing reassurance when required. Building a trusting relationship is at the heart of this role. You’ll help him feel safe, valued and supported while working closely with his family and wider care team to provide a consistent and nurturing approach.

Clinical Experience

Previous experience supporting children with complex healthcare needs is desirable.

Where required, specialist clinical training will be provided by our highly skilled, in-house nursing team.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

Have a minimum of 3 months' paid experience working in a professional care setting within the UK.
Have the right to work in the UK*
Be committed to delivering safe, compassionate and child-centred care.
Be willing to complete client-specific, clinical training where required.
Have previous experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviours.

We do not hold a sponsorship licence and are therefore unable to consider applicants requiring sponsorship.
