Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Woodworking Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining woodworking machinery to produce high-quality wood components and finished products. Your expertise in fabrication, machining, and materials handling will ensure precision, efficiency, and safety across all operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in a fast-paced environment that values craftsmanship and technical excellence.

Duties

Operate woodworking machinery such as milling machines, CNC routers, and other automated tools to cut, shape, and assemble wood components according to detailed specifications.
Use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks and other design tools to interpret technical drawings and prepare machining plans.
Fabricate custom parts by applying mechanical knowledge, using hand tools, tooling, and welding techniques when necessary.
Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to automate machinery functions for increased precision and productivity.
Handle materials efficiently within the warehouse environment, ensuring proper materials handling, storage, and inventory management.
Perform assembly tasks by fitting components together accurately following engineering drawings and specifications.
Maintain a clean and safe work area by adhering to safety protocols, inspecting equipment regularly, and conducting routine maintenance on machinery.

Requirements

Proven experience in fabrication, machining, or woodworking with a strong mechanical aptitude.
Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks and familiarity with CNC programming.
Hands-on experience with milling machines, hand tools, tooling setup, welding, and materials handling equipment.
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical drawings or specifications.
Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine automation.
Warehouse experience including inventory management and materials organization is preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
Strong safety awareness with the ability to follow all safety procedures diligently.
