Full job description

Retail Sales Assistant – The Vapeist, Dawlish

Job Type: Part-time
Location: Dawlish
Start Date: 30th June 2026
Pay: From £13.00 per hour (paid weekly)

The Vapeist is a family-run business with three stores across the South West, and we're looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic new team member to join our Dawlish branch.

This is a varied and customer-focused role where no two days are the same. You'll be helping customers find the right products while ensuring the shop is clean, well-stocked, and running smoothly. Full training will be provided during the week prior to your start date.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing excellent customer service and serving customers
Offering advice and guidance on suitable products
Replenishing and merchandising stock
Packing away deliveries and orders
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
Using the EPOS till system and processing transactions
Opening and closing the store as required
Managing the shop independently during your designated working days
Assisting with general day-to-day shop duties

What We're Looking For:

Friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills
Reliable, trustworthy, and capable of working independently
Comfortable taking responsibility and managing the store on your own during designated shifts
Customer service or retail experience is beneficial but not essential
Previous EPOS system experience is advantageous but not required
An interest in vaping products is beneficial, though full training will be provided

What We Offer:

Starting pay of £13.00 per hour
Weekly pay
Minimum of 3 days per week
20% staff discount
Holiday entitlement of 5.5 times your working week plus bank holidays
Full training before your start date
