Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shop, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all visitors. This position requires a proactive individual who can communicate effectively and assist customers with their needs.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly as they enter the shop and provide assistance as needed.
Maintain an organised and tidy shop environment, ensuring products are displayed attractively.
Assist customers in locating products and answering any queries regarding merchandise.
Process transactions accurately at the till, handling cash and card payments.
Restock produce
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.
Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally, escalating issues when necessary.

Skills

Strong communication skills
Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to maintain shop standards.
Friendly and approachable demeanour, with a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Previous experience in retail or customer service is an advantage but not essential.
