Full job description

Ground Maintenance Operative – SJ Gardner LTD

We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Ground Maintenance Operative to join our growing team.

What to expect:

General garden and grounds maintenance across residential and commercial sites
Grass cutting and lawn care
Hedge trimming and shrub maintenance
Working with a range of power tools and machinery
General labouring duties
Pruning and other horticultural tasks

What we are looking for:

We are seeking someone who:

Has at least 1-2 year’s experience in the grounds maintenance or landscaping industry
Is competent and confident in their ability
Takes pride in their work with strong attention to detail
Has a positive and professional attitude
Is self-motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic
Is able to work both independently and as part of a team
Basic plant identification knowledge

Essential requirements:

Full UK driving licence

What we offer:

Previous experience is essential, as is a genuine interest in the industry. Full support and ongoing training will be provided.

Desirable (but not essential):

PA1 & PA6 – Safe use and application of pesticides
CS30 & CS31 – Cross-cutting and small tree felling
Experience towing trailers across various vehicles
Experience in turf care

Pay: From £13.75 per hour
