Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe production of supplements and confectionery products, adhering to strict standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in the food industry, with responsibilities spanning from operating production equipment to maintaining high hygiene standards.

This is a fast-paced role that requires long periods of standing, and you will be employed on a Casual Contract.

Working hours:

Mon-Thurs: 7:30am to 16:15pm

Friday: 7:30am to 16:00pm

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor food production machinery in accordance with company procedures and safety standards
Ensure all products meet HACCP and food safety regulations throughout the manufacturing process
Assist with the preparation, packaging, and labelling of food items as required
Conduct routine quality checks and report any irregularities or faults to supervisors
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the production area to uphold hygiene standards
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents or contamination
Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on equipment performance and process efficiency

Skills

Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations is beneficial
Experience or understanding of food production processes preferred
Basic maths skills for measurements, weight calculations, and quality assessments
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and a proactive approach towards safety and quality standards
