At our Livingston Design Centre, we are looking for a dynamic Senior Project Manager - Team Lead who isn’t just focused on deliverables, but thrives on leading, inspiring, and developing high-performing teams.
In this role, your primary impact will be your people. You will provide strong, direct leadership to cross-functional engineering and project management talent through the full product development lifecycle. You won't just keep projects on schedule—you will set the standard for team culture, empower your engineers, and align talent directly with high-stakes customer goals.
Direct Team Leadership & Empowerment: Serve as a dedicated leader and coach for multi-disciplinary teams. Define clear operational targets, foster accountability, clear roadblocks, and build a high-trust, high-performance team culture.
Talent Development & Mentorship: Actively recruit, line-manage, and mentor engineering and project management professionals. Build robust succession plans, champion continuous personal development, and shape the next generation of leaders.
Strategic Business Development: Lead customer development processes to win new business, using your team’s collective capability to build high-value, long-term partnerships.
Complex Project Execution: Take full command of project delivery across the complete value stream—balancing budget, scope, quality, and risk management with a sharp focus on team bandwidth and resource optimization.
Cross-Functional Orchestration: Partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain managers to ensure seamless product introductions across Global Manufacturing Solutions sites.
Work-Sharing & Global Collaboration: Champion global teamwork by matching international project opportunities with team capabilities, fostering knowledge exchange, and balancing local workload with global resources.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement: Act as a catalyst for change by refining processes, breaking down organizational silos, and raising the bar for operational efficiency across the Livingston site.
You are an inspiring, people-first leader who knows how to get the absolute best out of a technical team. You bring a strong blend of emotional intelligence, operational discipline, and technical credibility, using your leadership presence to align, motivate, and guide diverse teams through high-pressure environments.
Leadership Track Record: Demonstrated experience directly managing, mentoring, and scaling engineering or project management teams, with a focus on talent retention and performance management.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (required).
Experience: 8+ years of experience within engineering or project management environments.
Technical Depth: Detailed understanding of at least one core engineering discipline (e.g., analog, digital, mechanical, software, or PCB).
Process & Delivery Mastery: Strong grasp of end-to-end product development and NPI (New Product Introduction) realization processes.
People Operations: Exceptional skills in direct line management, performance feedback, conflict resolution, and team alignment.
Communication & Influence: Master communicator who can build trust internally with direct reports and externally with senior customer executives.
Stakeholder Management: Ability to navigate complex matrices, aligning technical teams, regional leadership, and external partners toward a single, cohesive vision.
Mobility: Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed to represent the team and drive strategic partnerships.
