Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities, including handling materials, managing stock, and supporting shipping and receiving processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment. The position is paid and suitable for candidates who are organised, physically fit, and eager to contribute to our company's success.

Duties

Handling materials efficiently and safely within the warehouse environment
Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (training provided)
Managing inventory using warehouse management systems to track stock levels and locations
Assisting with shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading lorries
Picking and packing orders accurately to meet customer specifications
Stocking shelves and ensuring products are organised correctly for easy access
Conducting quality control checks to maintain high standards of product integrity
Performing mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times during daily operations

Qualifications

Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for specific equipment such as forklifts
Knowledge of materials handling, stock management, and shipping & receiving procedures is advantageous
Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse management systems is a plus
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in picking, packing, and inventory management
Physical fitness to handle long periods of standing, lifting, and moving goods
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team

Pay: £12.21-£19.22 per hour
