Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Grill Chef to join our passionate and skilled Kitchen Team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of cooking techniques, particularly in grilling. As a Grill Chef, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes to our guests while ensuring food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to the restaurant's menu.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and kitchen area.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
Follow recipes and presentation specifications to deliver consistent quality.
Assist in meal preparation for other areas of the kitchen as needed.

Skills

Strong cooking skills with experience in meal preparation, particularly grilling techniques.
Knowledge of food safety standards and practices to maintain hygiene in the kitchen.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A team player who can effectively communicate with kitchen staff and management.
Previous experience in a restaurant or similar food preparation environment is preferred but not essential.
