Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Assistant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hotel’s housekeeping department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service. This role involves supporting the housekeeping team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. Previous hotel experience and knowledge of hospitality standards are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist the Housekeeping Manager in supervising the daily activities of the housekeeping team
Ensure all guest rooms and public areas meet cleanliness and quality standards
Coordinate cleaning schedules and allocate tasks efficiently among team members
Conduct regular inspections to maintain hygiene, safety, and presentation standards
Support training and development programmes for housekeeping staff
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring stock levels are maintained
Address guest requests and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
Enforce health and safety regulations within the department
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations of housekeeping staff

Qualifications

Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or hospitality environments
Previous cleaning experience is advantageous
Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to motivate a team
Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to hospitality settings

Pay: £13.31 per hour
