What This Role Actually Is
Every day our phone rings with customers who need boilers serviced, systems installed, and emergency call outs. That phone call is either just a booking or it is an opportunity to do more for that customer and more for the business.
We need someone who sees the opportunity. Every time.
You will run the office. You will manage the diary. You will handle inbound calls, chase open quotes, call back dormant customers, and make sure our engineers are where they need to be.
But more than that, you will have a real voice in this business. You will share results, spot patterns, bring ideas, and help us grow. This is not a role where you clock in, answer emails, and clock out.
We do not measure success by how tidy the desk is. We measure it by jobs booked, quotes converted, and customers who came back because someone actually called them.
A Typical Day
- Answering inbound calls and booking jobs straight into the diary
- Managing engineer schedules so the day runs efficiently
- Calling customers whose quotes have gone quiet and finding out what is holding them back
- Contacting past customers to book their annual boiler service or gas safety check
- Handling the occasional walk in customer at our showroom, taking payments, answering basic questions, pointing them in the right direction
- Being the first point of contact when our engineers need something during the day
- Keeping our CRM system (Commusoft) accurate and up to date
- Processing job paperwork and compliance documents
Some days the phone does not stop. Some days you will be the one making it ring.
The Environment
Small office. Real people. No corporate nonsense.
You will work directly alongside the Director and Operations Manager. Your results will be seen immediately. Your ideas will be heard. You will not be invisible here.
We are based at Whitehills Business Park, FY4 , easy to find, free parking on site.
The hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 3.00pm. Genuine school hours. Evenings and weekends are yours.
This is a part time role right now. But this is not a small job. We are at a point in our growth where the right person in this seat will have a direct impact on where we go next. That opportunity is real.
Who We Are Looking For
You do not need to know boilers. We will teach you everything you need to know.
What we cannot teach is the right mindset.
You need to be the kind of person who picks up the phone without being told to. Who sees a quiet afternoon as a chance to fill the diary, not take a longer lunch.
Someone who can hold a conversation with a customer who says we are too expensive and genuinely believes in why we are worth it.
Your natural persona is opportunity driven, a call with no end result hurts you, a confident person who has a thick skin and has no fear in making sure you are heard, we are heard and the business makes sales and positive job bookings to enhance the business and enhance the customer journey.
A background in estate agency, lettings, car dealership, recruitment, insurance, or anything phone heavy and commercially driven is ideal. But if you have the right instinct and the confidence to back it up, we want to hear from you.
You also need to be sharp enough to keep the operation running cleanly. Commusoft, diary management, compliance paperwork, full training provided, but attention to detail is not optional.
