Package Description

Job Role: Support Worker / Children's Residential Home.

Location: Blackpool and Lytham St Annes

Salary: from 1st April 2026 from £13.45 per hour (£27,976.00 per annum) PLUS an additional £62.64 per sleep-in (working approx. 4-8 sleep ins per month, an additional £3,000 -£6,000 P/A)

Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle are essential in this role.

You will be part of our fantastic team, providing support and care to children who have emotional and behavioural difficulties. We pride ourselves in providing the children the best possible outcomes and promoting a positive culture. We are a two bedded, therapeutic home, OFSTED rated good and are striving to be an outstanding home.

You would be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, to be patient and understanding during times of crisis and to inspire them to grow and develop.

You will give your time and emotional support to make every day happy, play games, go swimming and being outdoors.

What do you need?

We want people who are naturally caring, nurturing and kind.
We are looking for reliable, hard working staff that possess a combination of personal qualities and practical skills to effectively care for and nurture children and young people.
Great communication skills, positive, patient and energetic.
Experience with younger children such as nursery, primary school or child care.
Full UK Driving licence is essential.
You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins.

As a children's support worker you will:

Be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for our children, led and supported by a registered manager.
Act as a positive role model to to give encouragement and praise.
Enjoy playing and spending time with the children.
Provide emotional and physical support to allow the children to reach their full potential in sometimes challenging situations
Build friendships and trusting relationships
Help them to find pleasure in everyday tasks
Empower them to make decisions about themselves
