Full job description

UK ICS is seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Lead to oversee industrial electrical installation projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading site installations, coordinating materials and labour, liaising directly with customers, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard NATIONWIDE.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong industrial installation experience, leadership skills, and the ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee industrial electrical and automation installations on site
Read and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, and installation documentation
Coordinate site labour, subcontractors, and installation activities
Place orders for site installation materials and equipment
Ensure deliveries and materials arrive on time to meet project schedules
Liaise directly with end customers and maintain professional site communication
Communicate closely with UK ICS project engineers regarding progress, issues, and site requirements
Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and site standards
Support commissioning and fault-finding activities where required
Ensure installations are completed to quality and programme requirements

Essential Requirements

Mandatory experience in industrial electrical installations
Mandatory experience within industrial automation or control panel projects
Strong understanding of industrial electrical installation practices
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
Experience managing site installations and coordinating materials/orders
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
2391 Test & Inspection
Good communication and organisational skills
ECS/CSCS
Full UK driving licence
Own van and tools required for carrying out industrial installation works
Company-paid mileage for business travel and site attendance
Ability to travel and work on customer sites

Desirable

Experience with PLC systems and industrial control panels
Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, utilities, or process industries
IPAF and PASMA certifications beneficial

Pay: £35.00-£45.00 per hour
