Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Nursery Team Leader to inspire and guide our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will oversee daily nursery operations, support staff development, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment for children to thrive. Your leadership will foster a positive team atmosphere, promote best practices in childcare, and uphold high standards of early childhood education. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about working with children and leading a team to make a meaningful difference in young lives.

Responsibilities

Lead and motivate nursery staff to deliver exceptional childcare and early education experiences
Coordinate daily activities, ensuring they align with developmental goals and safety standards
Support staff training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education
Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on children’s progress and addressing any concerns
Maintain compliance with childcare regulations, health and safety policies, and licensing requirements
Oversee the planning and implementation of educational programs that stimulate learning and development
Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, record keeping, and reporting to ensure smooth nursery operations

Qualifications

Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting
Extensive experience working with children, preferably in early childhood education or childcare roles
Strong understanding of nursery practices, child development principles, and health & safety regulations
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with staff, parents, and children
Childcare qualifications or certifications relevant to early childhood education are highly desirable
Valid driving license is preferred for transportation or outreach responsibilities
Passionate about fostering a nurturing environment that promotes learning through play and exploration

Pay: £12.71-£13.70 per hour
