Role Overview and Responsibilities:
At TT Electronics, Abercynon, we're hiring for a Quality Engineer to join our Quality team based at our site in Abercynon, South Wales.
The purpose of the Quality Engineer role is to support the manufacturing teams in the creation of robust processes including the generation of Control Plans, measurement standards and the root cause analysis of non-conformances.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Working with the manufacturing teams to ensure that processes have robust quality controls, PFMEA, documented control plans and identify any opportunities for improvement.

Monitoring of performance trends in Connector Assembly and providing information with regards to scrap, MRB status and feedback on the status of any customer/supplier concerns identified.

Attending daily & weekly meetings and supporting improvement initiatives and root cause analysis activities.

Dealing with customer queries/complaints for Connector Assembly manufacturing areas.

Participating in 8D review meetings, co-ordinating customer feedback and supporting the implementation of improvement actions.

Monitoring and supporting the implementation of containment for parts and corrective actions and reporting any issues regarding the timely closing out of such actions.

Conducting product, process and system audits as required.

Prepping/scheduling and conducting first article inspection for all manufacturing products.

Supporting the continued development of the Quality Management System.

Supporting the sharing of best practice and expertise in Quality principles across all departments.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:
What We Look for:
-
Previous experience as a Quality Technician or similar relevant function within a fast moving manufacturing environment.

An understanding of quality management tools with respect to the effective application of tools such as 8D/RCA, Poka-Yoke, control plans and PFMEA.

The ability to identify potential quality improvement activities.
- The ability to read engineering drawings.
- The ability to prioritise activities based on understanding business needs.
- The ability to work in a structured and methodical way.
-
The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all points of contact both internally and externally.
-
An understanding of the requirements of a robust manufacturing quality management system.
- The ability to understand product requirements and defining effective measurement systems.

Computer literate including the analysis of data in spreadsheets and databases and the generation of reports and presentations.

Experience in conducting system and process audits.
The following would enhance your application but is not essential to apply:

Previous experience within a Quality Engineering role.

Working knowledge of ISO9001:2015 standard and its effective implementation.

Understanding/experience of implementing lean principles within a quality environment.

Previous experience of the Q Pulse quality tool database system.
