Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. on Saturdays & Sundays. The successful candidate will play a vital role in meal preparation, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring smooth operations within our busy kitchen environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their culinary skills and gaining valuable experience in a professional setting. Prior catering, cooking, or restaurant experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and safety standards
Support the catering team in preparing ingredients and organising kitchen stations
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
Ensure food safety protocols are adhered to at all times, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
Help serve meals to customers or guests in a courteous and professional manner
Restock supplies and organise ingredients to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a hygienic working environment

Skills

Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory
Strong understanding of food preparation and safety standards
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour when serving customers or guests
Willingness to learn new culinary techniques and adapt to team requirements
Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety regulations
