The Racing Bug designs, builds and operates unique competitive racing attractions and arcade experiences for venues across the UK and internationally. We are looking for a practical and enthusiastic Workshop Technician to join our growing team.MK18
DRIVING LICENCE REQUIRED
Responsibilities
- Repair, restore and maintain arcade and amusement equipment, with a particular focus on retro arcade machines.
- Diagnose electrical and electronic faults to component, PCB and wiring level.
- Carry out soldering, cable assembly and installation work.
- Build, test and commission new Raceway attractions and associated equipment.
- Assist with occasional installation and event support work throughout the UK and overseas.
- Maintain workshop tools, equipment and stock.
Skills and Experience
- Experience working with electrical, electronic or electro-mechanical equipment.
- Ability to fault-find using a multimeter and basic test equipment.
- Competent soldering skills.
- Familiarity with power supplies, motors, switches, relays and sensors.
- Experience with arcade machines, gaming equipment, pinball machines, amusement devices or hobby electronics would be advantageous.
- Professionally presented with excellent communication skills
- Reliable & Punctual
- Experience of commonly used hand and power-tools.
- Flexibility and Enthusiastic to constantly innovate and develop new skills.
