Finance Assistant

Business Unit: 5350 - NH South West

Location: Bristol

Job Role

We’re looking for a driven and detail-focused Finance Assistant to join our growing team in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in finance, whether you already have experience or are just starting out.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the finance function, working closely with the Finance Controller and wider team to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations.

Duties

Processing and managing invoices within the purchase ledger (Accounts Payable)
Chasing approvals and resolving invoice queries
Supporting costing and financial tracking, including hire costs
Producing and analysing reports using SAP and Excel
Assisting with weekly financial reporting
Supporting the Finance Controller and Assistant Accountant with ad hoc tasks
Ensuring accurate and timely financial data management

Person Specification

Some experience in finance (e.g. accounts payable / purchase ledger) OR a strong interest in building a finance career
Good attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong Excel skills (or willingness to develop)
A proactive and positive approach

Qualifications

AAT (studying or completed) – desirable
Keen to support candidates looking to study AAT

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time - 40 - Monday to Friday
