Full job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Admin Coordinator to join our administration service. The post holder will be responsible for supervising and supporting administrative teams covering the Urgent Treatment Centre, working collaboratively with a part time Admin Coordinator for the Community Admin Team to ensure continuity of cover and effective communication.

The role is primarily based at Weymouth Community Hospital, with flexibility to work across sites within the Weymouth and Portland locality.

This is a key operational role, providing day to day supervision of admin teams and ensuring efficient, high quality administrative support to clinical services. The post holder will coordinate workloads, maintain standards, and act as a central point of contact between teams.

Applicants must have strong IT, organisational, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and communicate effectively with tact and discretion.

Line manage the Urgent Treatment Centre Reception, which consists of a team of 9 working shift patterns across a 7 day service

Hold responsibility for the recruitment, induction, training and development of all administration team members; providing support and supervision to all members of the team.

Act as a role model to colleagues, always seeking to maintain the highest standards of professionalism.

To facilitate the smooth running of the service throughout the year by effective coordination of rotas and by keeping attendance, annual leave and sickness records.

Provide advice and support on admin issues across the service and undertake specific project work, as required.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
