Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technical expertise and customer service skills are highly valued. The ideal applicant will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with various tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
Diagnose faults using schematics and mechanical knowledge
Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
Interpret technical drawings and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs
Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely during maintenance activities
Assist with equipment installation, assembly, and commissioning processes
Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and professionally

Qualifications

Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role with strong mechanical knowledge
Proficiency in reading schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools
Knowledge of equipment repair procedures and preventative maintenance techniques
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or related fields are desirable but not essential
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst maintaining high standards of safety and quality standards
