Are you looking to earn as well as giving something back to our community?

Can you drive and are you looking for a rewarding full-time varied role?

Community Transport Sussex supports those who are isolated and who struggle to use mainstream transport to access services, health appointments and social activities. We are looking for a Manager / Driver who is community minded to support our services across the Midhurst and Chichester district.

This is a split role where we anticipate around 14 hours pw will be operational management as part of a job share and 21 hours pw driving on one of our DDRT (Digital Demand Responsive Transport) services, predominantly Monday to Friday.

We are seeking someone who can provide ongoing guidance and support to the Bognor Regis Depot Team to ensure our comprehensive transport operation is a positive experience for our members. Plus be one of our DDRT drivers driving one of our minibuses.

If you would like a varied job that gets you out and about and contributes greatly to the local community then we would like to hear from you.

You will need to have category D1 on your driving licence (you will have this if you passed your test before 1997) if you passed your driving test 1998 or later you do not hold a D1 category licence.

This role will require an enhanced DBS check. This is the Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate enabling you to work with the elderly, vulnerable people and children. This is not a pre-requisite as we would put you through this if you did not have one. So you would have to be prepared to undergo a security check which we would pay for. Full training will be given in all aspects of the work.

Hours of operation are between Monday to Saturday 06.30am to 7.30pm.

Our DDRT routes are split into 2 shifts: The morning AM shift is 7am to 1.30pm and the afternoon PM shift is 12.30pm to 7.30pm. You may be required to do a mixture of these shifts spread out along the week. Other distribution of work may change to suit business needs.

This is a salaried position. Pay rates are as follows:

For all hours worked as a Depot Manager £16.48ph
For all hours worked as a Driver £13.02ph
