Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. This entry-level culinary role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, cooking, and food safety within a lively hospitality environment. You will work closely with experienced chefs to deliver exceptional dishes that delight our guests and uphold our reputation for quality.

Duties

Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes according to established recipes and standards
Support the kitchen team in food production, ensuring timely delivery of orders
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
Help with portioning, plating, and serving food efficiently during busy service times
Supervise junior staff when required, providing guidance on food prep and safety procedures
Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for everyone
Contribute to maintaining high standards of hospitality, ensuring guests receive excellent service

Qualifications

Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
Strong team management skills with the ability to supervise and motivate others when needed
Experience in food production, serving, or hospitality environments is advantageous
Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and culinary practices
A positive attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
