The Opportunity

Join our team as a Finance Team Leader!

Salary: £ 39,862 to £42,839 per annum

Working Pattern: Full time, 37 hours per week

Location: Hybrid working at County Hall, Chichester and remotely

Interview date: W/C 15/06/2026

We're looking for a Finance Team Leader to join our Operational Finance team! In this exciting role, you will play a key part in supporting the rollout of our new Finance information system, Oracle. If you have a solid background in Accounts Payable and Purchase to Pay systems, this is a fantastic opportunity to help us transition from SAP to Oracle smoothly.

As our Finance Team Leader, you will be leading a team in Accounts Payable guiding them to achieve their goals while ensuring we deliver excellent, customer-focused service. Your day-to-day activities will include:

Providing direction and support to individuals and teams, including those working across different disciplines or locations.
Collecting data from our finance systems to help prepare monitoring and performance reports.
Helping to develop our new finance payment system processes, which includes training, testing, and implementation.
Supporting our self-service initiatives by coaching and training on our various corporate payment methods.
Ensuring compliance with our corporate payment systems by maintaining accurate financial records.

As our successful Finance Team Leader, you will:

Have effective people management skills including performance management skills and the ability to provide direction and support to individuals and teams, including those working across different disciplines or locations.

Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to make the most of your talents.
Be able to effectively manage conflicting priorities, for yourself and your team, to deliver high quality projects.
Have an inquisitive and enquiring mind, which will aid continuous improvement and learning.
Have a strong focus on continuous improvement and a commitment to delivering and ensuring value for money.
